Over the past 20 years Marcus Piper has established a reputation within the global design community as an art director, typographer, graphic designer and editor. A trained industrial designer, Piper's understanding of the design world is as extensive as his portfolio having been the driving force behind the majority of Australia's A&D publications since POL Oxygen's inception in 2001.

In addition to the multi-award winning POL Oxygen, Piper has been responsible for the design of Inside, DQ, Habitus, Indesign, Swarovski's Crystallized and the British Crafts Council magazine with his role on Mezzanine extending to founding editor. In 2006 Piper worked with Spanish designer, Jaime Hayon, on the design of the book Jaime Hayon Works and in 2010 art directed Swarovski's 10X10 book which launched in Milan, showcasing the collaborations between designers and manufacturers.

A self-described digital craftsperson, Piper has attended the Milan Furniture Fair 9 times since 2002 and is based in Thirroul, south of Sydney.
